SR 30 Ranger – the innovative bolt-action rifles
The innovative SR 30 bolt-action rifle with a straight-pull safety system. The operation is performed solely by a horizontally pivoting bolt handle (no bolt slider or safety required) – as fast as in biathlon.
The cycling process is smooth and can be carried out almost silently.
The Heym SR 30 bolt locks with six balls in the bolt head. The bolt was tested at the Suhl proof house in a series of trials up to 8000 bar.
The color-coded bolt handle lock ensures that the rifle cannot be unintentionally opened or cocked while being carried. Firing the cartridge when the bolt is not fully locked is excluded.
When rapid cycling is required (e.g., for a quick second shot), the detent point of the bolt handle is simply "overridden".
