Can I buy a semi automatic in Australia?

In an air rifle the answer is YES!!!! But in anything else you need a specific license category. This is unavailable to the vast majority of shooters. These licenses are generally held by primary producers (farmers), professional full-time pest controllers, and in very specific circumstances, sport shooters with a very specific need. For more information please contact your state firearms registry.
